Full Service Design
*Clients in the Thunder Bay area*
This route is ideal for those that want assistance from start to finish. From planning and conceptualizing the space to placing accessories, we will work together to make it the space of your dreams.
This service is comprised of four phases:
Phase 1: The Initial Consultation*. We will discuss the purpose of the space and go over any ideas as well as likes/dislikes. We will also take measurements and photos and discuss your budget and scheduling. Once all the information has been collected during the initial consultation, Beautiful Mess will draw up plans and put together a design plan.
Phase 2: Presentation of Design Plan.
The design plan will include the following:
- Floor plan with furniture placement
- Design board with furniture, paint and fabric swatches, art, lighting, window treatments, rugs and accessories
- Material samples such as tile, hardwood, stone, graniteSpecifications for plumbing fixtures, lighting, custom carpentry work, etc.
At this meeting we will go over the details of the plan, view inspirational photos and make any necessary changes/alterations. Once the plan is finalized, Beautiful Mess will begin with implementation.
Phase 3: Implementation of Design Plan. During this phase I will shop for all necessary pieces of the plan as well as organize any contractors/installations/services that may be needed. I will coordinate everything so you can have a great, stress-free design experience.
Phase 4: Bringing It All Together! This final phase is when you will see your space come together with final furniture and accessory placement.
Pricing:
$75/hr. Initial consultation billed at $200.
Design Consultation
*Clients in the Thunder Bay area*
This option is a less involved version of our Full Service Design and is great for clients who want ideas and direction but would choose to oversee the project themselves.
Consultations include the following:
- One hour in home meeting to go over the purpose of the space as well as likes/dislikes and budget. We will also take measurements and pictures and go over some inspirational photos.
- Design board with furniture, paint and fabric swatches, art, lighting, window treatments, rugs and accessories
- Material samples such as tile, hardwood, stone, granite
- Sourcing material for all products
- Room layout
Pricing:
$650/room
Interior Home Makeover
This service is perfect for clients who have a tight budget to work with but would like to freshen the look of their home with pieces they already have.
This service includes:
- A one hour in-home consultation to go over the purpose and goals for the room, what pieces will stay or go and the budget. We will also take pictures and measurements.
- Design board with any products being purchased, inspirational photos, paint and fabric swatches
- Detail of refinishing, reupholstering, etc. that will be done to clients existing furniture/accessories by Beautiful Mess.
Pricing:
$75/hr
E-Design
Do you need inspiration for a space? An E-Design Board is perfect for clients around the world that need a jumping off point for a design project. The E-Design process is completed via email. All that is required of the client are pictures, goals/purposes and detailed measurements of the space and any inspirational pictures or products that have caught your eye and budget.
E-Design includes:
- Design board with furniture, paint and fabric swatches, art, lighting, window treatments, rugs and accessories
- Sourcing information for all products
- Room Layout

Home Staging
*Clients in the Thunder Bay area*
Are you trying to sell your home or the home of a parent or relative? It can take only 3-6 minutes for a potential buyer to walk through your home. Make that first impression count by offering a house that buyers can picture themselves calling home. A staged property will entice buyers in real estate listings and leave them wanting more when they visit.
